It was initially a Venetian fortress, and it became the home for hundreds of Greece’s lepers who were shipped there and formed a colony. Arrive on the intriguing island and enjoy an interesting guided walk around the remains of the colony. Catch sight of its main street, still lined with the shops and houses where the lepers attempted to live ordinary lives. The tour is good the communication between the tour company, the hotel and Destination Services needs improvement…
Though the basics like Itinerary, transportation, accommodation and meals were really good, there were a lot of issues in communication between the tour service, the hotel and the company in charge of touring us. The pick up times were kinda messy, too soon or too late, I even missed the bus one day and had to take a taxi to the next stop that it was a town over. While on the way to the airport they picked me up over half an hour late.
